05 May The Passing of the Grand Master
Dear all Knights and Dames of the Royal Oak.
It is with great sadness we have to formally announce the passing of our Grand Master Kevin Charles Norris on 16th April 2025.
Kevin was born in March 1960 and lived many of his years in the South of England before locating to Northamptonshire. Kevin always had a passion for business and fresh ideas, having spent many years of his life working in a Bank in their business unit, before taking early retirement. Retirement did not stop Kevin or his passions and he actively pursued these. Kevin was also a man of great integrity who always wanted to ensure things were done in the correct and proper manner. It was this which initially bought Kevin into contact with his primary business of Manorial Titles. Kevin spent many years of research including obtaining counsel opinion on his passion, so that he could undertake his business. Kevin was also passionate about charity and it was for this reason he founded the Knights of the Royal Oak. Sadly Kevin was diagnosed with Cancer and eventually had to step back from driving the Order forward last year. Kevin’s original diagnosis was only for one year but in true to his character, he battled on for more than 2 years. Kevin leaves behind his wife and two children.
We wanted to give Kevin and his family time to themselves initially, but it seemed appropriate to make the formal announcement today (being the 80 year celebration of V E Day).
It was intended this summer would be the first face to face meeting of the KRO and we will now be pursing this with an aim to fund raise for Lung Cancer in Kevin’s memory.
Rest in Peace, Grand Master.
